Wrx Power Steering Rack Leak

The 2015 sti has the quickest steering ratio of any subaru product to date it s 13 1 compared to 15 1 on older wrx and sti models.

Noticed more fluid leaking so took it to the dealership yesterday. I was told the power steering rack needs to be replaced 1200. I m having trouble with my power steering on my 2004 wrx. On narrow body 2008 2010 wrx models you will have to shorten the tie rod ends.

My 2009 wrx started leaking power steering fluid a couple of months ago at almost 70k miles. I drive a 2009 wrx no mods and noticed that i was leaking power steering fluid recently. A little troubleshooting and i discovered the source the leak is originating from the input shaft coming into the rack and pinion gearbox.
